Mid-Viscosity acrylic colors are the perfect in-between of heavy and soft body paint, striking similarities to popular acrylics. These paints are a "happy medium" smooth as butter, rich in pigment, and glide effortlessly across surfaces while holding brush strokes. Handmade in small batches, we work intimately with raw materials to perfect the acrylic paint formula to enhance the painting experience. Well suited for mixing with Heavy Texture or as a standalone artist paint.

Handmaid Jam is our "chef special' that's now part of the menu.

This color is great! Compared to other non-sculpting brands, its texture would be considered heavy texture. It has an excellent shiny, smooth finish. Compared to alizarin crimson, it is several shades lighter and has a more reddish tone (whereas alizarin crimson is much darker with a bit more of a purple-y/black tone). Overall I am very pleased with this color and find it a wonderful alternative to alizarin crimson if you do not need a color as dark. The image I have attached is an example sheet to test the color tones.

At first I thought "what a weird name". Either way, weird name or not, ita cool color. It make gorgeous roses either by itself or lightened with titanium white.
