Description

Phthalo Green boasts a cool undertone, adding a touch of freshness and energy to its character. It's an intense, vibrant green pigment with high tinting strength and embodies the essence of liquified emerald gems.

Its vibrant and intense green hue allows you to capture the lushness and vitality of natural environments. When applied to your artwork, Phthalo Green brings a sense of depth and coolness, evoking the aliveness of tropical green forests or the Emerald Coast's distinctive shade on the Gulf of Mexico shores.

Regarding Phthalo Green and Viridian Green, Phthalo Green takes the crown for higher chroma and a brighter, more intense green. It's like turning up the volume on green, where Viridian is called for colder compositions.

Phthalo Green (PG7) is known for its excellent lightfastness, ensuring the color remains vibrant and resists fading over time. Its high tinting strength allows you to achieve rich and intense applications with just a tiny amount of pigment.

All Gaffrey acrylic colors are crafted in small batches with a hint of artistic mischief and paint chemistry expertise. Our colors undergo daily testing by our seasoned team of self-taught art pros.

Gorgeous Green

I love this color. The best part is that it mixes beautifully with mediums - both gaffrey gel and golden high solid gel, glass bead gel, and my favorite since discovering it: clear self leveling gel for a striking transparent effect. One million stars for my new favorite color.
