4 easy steps to pipe heavy texture
1. Snip It
Cut a small piece off the bag, about 3/4 of an inch. Cut further as needed to increase flow of paint.
2. Twist it
Use dominant hand to twist the top until bag feels firm. Apply steady pressure to force air pockets outs.
3. Squeeze it
Guide the nozzle with one hand, applying pressure with the other to control paint thickness and shape.
4. Clip It
Flatten the open end and clip it for short-term storage. For long-term, transfer to airtight container.

The clear heavy acrylic dries translucent, not clear! It still has the classic gaffrey heavy texture qualities I have come to love so much, but it’s most definitely not clear.
I was hesitant to even write a review because I love gaffreys (literally just bought a 5gal of the white!)…but then I thought about how it would have been helpful for me to know it wouldn’t be clear Before I bought a bunch for a project I needed to be crystal clear. So I hope this helps other artists in regards to the clear heavy acrylic!

I have used this medium in several projects however my favorite of all time is this jellyfish that is under several layers of glassy clear medium.
I’ve had an idea in my head for a long time and I knew I would need some type of media that’s like paint, but much much thicker and not gritty. I had tried making my own type of media to work with, out of plaster and some other things but no matter what I used, I was limited with how I could work with it. Until I found Gaffrey paint! Omg!! I’m obsessed and it is literally exactly what I needed in every way to make my idea become a reality! The options are limitless with this stuff, no matter what you’re thinking about using it for, you won’t regret buying it because it’s so much fun to play with!
This stuff is dope! It's so thick. It holds both texture & color great. It's very cost efficient compared to other options out there. I've used it with palette knives, & now since seeing all the amazing art videos here, I've tried piping as well. Both techiques are so fun & even more so when I'm not worried about how much impasto I'm using. This stuff opened up creative doors for me in a few directions. I'm cheesing, but I am really grateful for it & will certainly be ordering again.
